Ever since we got the ball rolling on Lexie’s Legacy each event has been different and eah one has been very successful.
Last night’s Acoustipalooza VI Benefiting Lexie’s Legacy was no different.
Surrounded by friends it was once again an amazing event with some of the most talented performers in an already music community full of talent.
Starting a little after 9PM I took the stage for a set of mostly originals, some which I haven’t performed in a while, with my good friends Scott Terry (incredible multi-instrumentalist and currently bassist for the legendary Lewis Family) and Jessica King (an incredible area singer-songwriter).
Jessica followed with a solo set that was incredible followed by solo performances by Allison Foster, Josh Pierce (Scott got up and played harmonica) before one of Alexis’ favorite peeps, Billy S., jumped up and played a set of fun original tunes as well as a couple of covers with Pierce, Dave Mercer and Joel Hodges, who plays in bands with both Josh and myself.
NoStar closed off the night with a great full band set and everyone was dancing and having fun.
Shared some tender moments with several friends…Scott, Jessica, Ryan G., Preston, among others…I still get overwhelmed by the love.
All in all over 200 people came out which is incredible seeing that there were so many great lokal shows last night across Augusta (ain’t that a beautiful thing?)
One more event on this here Lexie’s Legacy Fall Tour 2008 - December 13th All-Ages show @ Sector 7G for Rocking the Stocking 15 featuring a ton of great bands. You can go to www.myspace.com/lokalloudness to keep up with the lineup.
Great Augusta folks are already working on a February show at Sky City which will have a companian Lexie’s Legacy CD…more on that soon.
Love You Guys and Remember…
…have a very Lexie Day!
